Motors coming out of bike
Pmcg:
Love it. I have Round 2 bookmarked and have read it at least 12 times.
sandblaster:
Seriously.. That's all? cheesy
Sooooo... What is this engine going to be used for ?
Wouldn't happen to have anything to do with a rule book you posted a bit ago would it?
Motorrad:
Could.
Items on the agenda.
Remove stuffer crank and install new stock balanced crank
Remove overdrive 5th and replace with stock
New piston with port changed
New plating
Change port timing
Re cut head and re design chamber/ squish
sandblaster;
Ohhh Yeah....
Which main bearings?
Motorrad:
What ya mean?
Also plan on reverse parallel cooling
Big water pump
Redo clutch water outlet
sandblaster:
Ceramic or standard bearings?
I considered reverse parallel cooling my K5SM but if it ran any cooler it might cold seize grin
Probably have to wait till next summer to try it.
Motorrad:
have a NOS crank on the bench.
and a 90MM piston showed up on friday.
grin
sandblaster:
KX547...... Sweet cool
Unless there is more to the crank story.
Pmcg:
How do you plan on dealing with the KIPS? As I understand it 88 is the biggest you can go without moving them around.
Motorrad:
Answer is in round 2
Had kips wall welded up etc
Pmcg:
ahhh yes
suicyde:
I just wanted to chime in......Thanks Motorrad, for documenting all this, and sharing it with us all. It has been quite the journey!
Brute:
