Am I reading the WPS book right?.......85-04 Con-rod kits are the same for K5's (hotrods) p/n 421-8148
Going to order today, maybe early next week. Unable to find big end bearing listed by itself. Where would you get one?

Yep, the 85-04 connecting rods are the same.
You can verify with Hot Rods here:
http://www.hotrodsproducts.com/ProductI ... tem_id=902
You will find that from 89-04 the engines only have minor changes such as fly wheel and rotor, shift shaft, and shift lever.
It's hard to improve upon perfection :D
I have never seen a big end connecting rod bearing available without the connecting rod.
Then again if you go to the Hot Rods web site link above, you can get the sizes except the pin.
I can get you the pin size.
Then you could contact a bearing house and see what they could get.
The washers will be hard to find...
What did your side play measure at the big end?

If I had no access to another rod I would go OEM way before Wiseco or Hot Rods.
I typically only use Wiseco or Hot Rods for interchange info...
I see a lot of both of those companies cranks destroyed.
I see a lot of OEM's worn out but not real often are they broke.

These guys built my last crank.

Thanks for the info. I never would have imagined branding such as those would not be at least "decent".
I am curious though..... What rod would pisonnault use? That deal is sounding more sweet by the minute.

That's a good question.
I believe he said OEM, Vesrah, and one other but I could be wrong.
Give him a call and let us know :?
