So... After all of that, how did Sean do?
In the first race it was a DNF.... Aggghhhh
Why?
Here is part of the culprit..

At least it was a big part of the issue.
The axle blocks did not fit real flat in the swing arm slots.
This caused there to be a slight pinching action instead of a nice flat total surface grip.
Sean loves to run his wheel as far back as it can go.
This would have been fine but the axle adjustment bolts were extended way out... and, because the adjustment bolts didn't hit the blocks very well centered (Due to the blocks being thinner then we needed), Sean hit a jump, came down, and the axle slipped forward..
Then, in the second race Sean had to start at the back of the pack.. During the first two laps Sean was tearin everyone a new seat pan... Then he seemed to slow down after the second lap but kept riding.
Sean never got passed and eventually took 22nd.
But here is what happened.
The cotter pin on the right foot peg came out.
This allowed the footpeg pin to back out to the point that Sean had no rear brake because the lever was hitting on the pin.
This is what happens when you get rushed, don't ahve the right parts, and the rider has Zero test time.
Both of these issues would have came out before the race if Sean had 3 practice laps.
I have to say, Sean is a amazing rider and rode that bike for all it was worth.
But with two piddle issues there was no way even he could have rode that bike any better.
Currently, the Groot is being completely taken apart, the frame is being Powder Coated, wheels are being built, new Radiators and hoses are being installed, the correct head is being cut, and a host of small swing arm issues are being sorted out at the moment.
We should have the bike ready to rip just in time for a magazine shoot...
I can't say any more then that right now..
But if things go good... You never can tell where this will lead
