Building a Warp 9 rear wheel, is it worth it?

Post by Sandblaster »

We had a customer came in with a badly bent rear wheel on his CRF450R.
He didn't have 400 bucks for a Warp 9 replacement.
So I told him that we could rebuild his hub with new bearings and seals, Vapor blast his hub, and install a new Warp 9 rim and spokes for 250 dollars.
We did have to drill out the spoke holes as the Warp 9 spokes are much thicker then the stock Honda spokes.
Was it worth it?
Well... if you spend the extra 150 bucks for a complete Warp 9 you do get a new rotor and sprocket.
Build the wheel and save even more...
But, if your rotor and sprocket are good then you can save a few dollars.
It doesn't look half bad either..

If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.
