A buddy of mine has a 03 KX250 engine complete, fully rebuilt and looking for something to stick it in to.
It just so happens that I have a 2007 KX450F frame.
So we stuck the engine in it to see what would happen.
And of course the frame yoke is too low to let the exhaust pipe out

But then we knew that.
Next thing I know my buddy pulled a 01 cr250 frame from storage and drops the engine in...
PS... This engine is a 95 KX250 that was handy for fitment purposes.

The amazing thing is how well the engine fit..
But then I don't want to end up with a Kawaonda or a Honasaki...
After just a few minutes of looking at it my buddy has a brilliant plan...
More later

A few people have asked me about how well the Kawasaki engine fits in the CR250 frame.
So, here is a few more pics.
A few notes, the swing arm pivot pin is the same diameter 17mm.
The bottom engine mounts line up perfectly with the Kawasaki mounts.
The exhaust port clears the frame and the pipe is a nice fit.
So, you would need head stay mounts and some adapter mounts for the front engine mounts.
