I have for sale or trade a 1994 Kawasaki KX 500 2 stroke dirt bike. This bike is an absolute beast. If you know 2 stroke dirt bikes you know how powerful these bikes are. Virtually indestructible motors too. I have owned this bike about 5 years or so. I bought it in Michigan off Craigslist after looking for one for about a year. This is a good one. Over the winter I had the carbs cleaned and a new gasket and jet kit installed. I had a longer shifter installed so it's easier to shift with riding boots on. I have rode this bike thru tons of trails. No one is going to beat you in a race on this beast. I have recently had some knee problems and it has made stating this compression monster difficult. So now I feel I need to sell or trade it for something myself or my family can enjoy I'm asking $2000 OBO or trade me something I can use, I'd like a boat of some kind, a pop up camper, a 150cc scooter for my girlfriend, maybe a quad, wave runner, pickup truck, older project cars, or a combination of things too. A smaller cc street bike for my GF, A large LED or 3D TV, fishing or boating stuff, go cart that's a 2 seater, hunting items, camping items or who knows what else. Basically most things with a motor I like. They can need work too.

This is a very nice KX500 that I have updated over the winter. The bike started life as a 1998 model. I have updated the front suspension to 2003 KX250 48mm forks (from the stock 46mm) with Emig Racing custom made triple clams, I had the forks and shock re-built and re-valved by Pro Circuit this spring for a 200lb B class rider. I also installed a new Pro-Circuit pipe, Magura hydrolic clutch (the lever has the pull of a 125 now), new wheel berings, Galfer braided steel "Honda" style front brake hose mated to a 280mm EBC oversize brake rotor. I have also put all new plastic (fenders, side plates and gas tank) on the bike along with 1989 style KX500 graphics, Boyesen Rad Valve, Boyesen ignition cover, Renthal Twin Wall handle bars, as well as Renthal chain and sprokets. Also, brand-new Dunlop MX51 tires front and rear. Very nice bike for anyone who would like to experience the thrill of riding one of the most coveted two stroke open bikes!
