Here is a project that got out of control and now here it is. This is a KX500 Aluminum frame monster. The chassis is a 2003 CRF450R that has been modified to accept a KX500 Monster motor. The motor is a 1992 KX500 that has been over-bored to accept a CR500 Wiseco piston (89mm vs 86mm) with a CR500 Connecting Rod. Motor recently redone with new main bearings and seals due to corrosion. A manual decompression button has been installed in the head to make kicking it over MUCH easier.
Fresh everything from chain to fork seals.
I built this bike for the open trails of Alberta, but I do not want to use it here as I'm not an MX track rider. I think its overkill, but some might find that just enough....
