So here is the problem.
You have a bearing that you can't get to from the back side to press it out.
How do you remove it?
Some get out a big hammer and screw driver and start wacking away.
The result is often disastrous
Below is a picture of a bearing that needs to be replaced.

The solution?

The directions are very simple and easy to follow:

I simply took a collet that was the correct size and pushed it through the bearing.
You should be able to do it with your fingers.
It should be a snug fit with minimal amount of play.

Once I pushed the collet through I tightened the set bolt to 15lb as per the recommended specs.
Next, I attached the slide hammer to the collet:

You don't need to apply any real force to screwing the slide hammer to the collet.
Finger tight is good enough as there is plenty of thread engagement to prevent the collet from pulling out of the slide hammer.
Then, holding the part with my left hand and sliding the hammer out with my right hand the bearing popped out with very little effort.
Note: You should not have to use a lot of force to get the bearing out.
If you use to much force you will break the collet or pull it through the bearing.
Our general rule is, if you tap it a few times and it does not fall out, get out the torch and heat the case around the bearing up.
If there are any seals that you want to save, remove them before applying heat

The final result?

The bearing is gone and the case is in one piece. NO DAMAGE :D

Now that is a clever tool and worth the investment.
