Sandmaster995......Im coo-coo like the rest of you for motorcycles. I am a vet mx'er, and current dune rat. I've road raced RZ350's. And drag raced my ZX10. I currently make my living as a mechanic for Sand Dunes Frontier in Florence, Oregon. And drive unsuspecting tourists on the sand dunes for an adrenal overload. So yeah, I am an off-road junkie as well.

Nice, I've always wondered who was driving those buses on the dunes :-)
Can you tell us what kind of engines, ect they are running?

I love unsuspecting people being strapped in my sand buggy...

always fun to go sailing 30' off into a dune, sideways in the air... listening to them scream

Yes !!! you guys get it. And thats awesome. The "big buggys" have 454 big block chevy engines. The tires are off cargo planes(rated for 174knots)HAHA! The frames are school bus and military surplus.Of course heavily modified. They used to all be 4-wheel drive, switched them to 2. We have two 7-passenger yellow colored rails that run 4.3 vortec v-6's. And the long travel blue rail that is on our sign is powered by a 2.5l subaru(non- turbo). And 5 more VW powered (2275/1955 stroker) sand rails.
And the picture looks just like the faces of most who let us drive them around. Big men get small and usually pee a little. And the children usually say "faster !" Truly a fun job, however physically demanding.
