KX Guru Racing teams up with Doug Haas to build a one of a kind KX500!

We have done so many different builds, conversions, magazine bikes, land speed bikes, Super moto's, and just crazy stuff.
But I want a KX500 that uses modern suspension, has a killer engine that can be easily rode in the woods but still perform well in the desert.
Some will say that this is not possible.
But I say, let's wait and see
A couple of years ago I met up with Dyno Doug Haas, Former Kawasaki Factory Engineer.
We have had some really good discussions on what works and what does not.
Doug is a wealth of information.
When I showed him this project he suggested that I send him the frame and the shock for some modifications.
How could I possibly resist?
But before we begin here is what I started with, a 01 KX500 Frame and Sub frame.
The shock is off a 2019 KX450F.
No, they do not bolt right up
At this point I have already cut the reservoir off the shock and I have mocked up the pipe to see where I had to move the reservoir to get it to clear.
