So, what to do?

This is the dimensions from a collar from a 87-07 CR125R Collar 13617-KS6-700.
OD 1.179
ID .779
Length .741
Here is the dimension for the 79 CR125 Drive gear collar 13617-444-000
OL=.575
OD=1.102
ID (most important)= .779
Yes, it will require some lathe work but it's doable..
