New join in the Denver area.

I recently bought a 2000 KX500 that I'm currently converting to supermoto. While seeking info a found this forum. Clearly this site has the most information on the KX500. Look forward to learning a few new things.

We love KX500 Supers...
They are light, powerful and handle pretty good for a dirt bike

Appreciate it. Definitely a lot of love for KX5's here. So much good Intel here I don't know where to start. I'm re-lacing a set of Warp9 sumo wheels with OEM KX5 hubs. I got the front hub from oem-cycles actually. Should have the wheels laced this coming week. I have a pretty big pile of bolt on stuff. EBC 320 rotor, set of ASV shorty levers, pro taper bar, Scotts damper and etc.
I don't have a lot of questions to be honest. A few dumb ones maybe. I want to do a dual muffler like the CRF's for no real legitimate reason other then I want to and my exceptionally small penis likes how it looks.
I'm new to 2 strokes. Don't know how much that would harm performance on the KX5.
I tried searching the forum for clutch upgrades but I'm not having much luck. I'm either doing it wrong or there aren't any. Thanks again.

Warp 9's are good.
I have them on both my supermotos..
Dual mufflers eh?
Definitely doable.
What you want to do is measure the diameter of a stock muffler.
Then try to find two mufflers that when put together have about the same cross section area as the stock muffler perhaps from a 125?
You want to try and maintain about the same back pressure as the stock or aftermarket set ups.
Clutch set ups.
Stock clutches are fine as long as they are in good condition.
Hinson no longer makes after market baskets...
However, Mitaka or Pro-X (Same thing) make a after market basket.
You have to remove the stock basket off the hub and rivet the new basket on but they work great as they are well made.
