SS front brake line

Post by Divenride »

Has anyone installed a Stainless Steel brake line on the front? If so what brand?
Galfer offers one but it incorporates a hard 90 degree fitting that goes around the outside of the caliper and leaves it exposed to a crash on the left side. I've talked to them and they suggested routing it similar to a modern bike ( inside the fork leg) which opens another can of worms regarding mounting the cable to the fork leg protector.

I just used Galfer hoses on the front and rear of Sean Colliers KX500 but the front we used is for 450 forks.
I can tell you that Galfer is a quality product.
I have a front Galfer on my KX500 but it has the exposed routing.
5 years and no issues but I'm not abusive.
If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.
