Ok, back to the nuts and bolts of this build.
We already inspected this trans once before but it never hurts to do a double check.

For the time being we are done with Sean's old bike.
Because we are gonna be racing his new bike in two weeks we have to get back to it...

Torque one sent us some killer foot pegs for a YZ450F.
But they won't fit on a KX500.

So, the first thing we gotta do is remove these tubes..

So into the vice for a little hand work..

Grind, grind, grind, file, file, file...
Check it often... Unless you have a mill, then just mill it to the correct thickness..

Make sure it rotates freely with no obstructions..

But, your still not done...

You will need to remove some more material as shown in yellow.
Go slow and do a ton of test fitting..

Our donor swing arm was a bit beat up so a little sanding, a little putty, a little more sanding..

On the bright side, Larry told me that the machine work was gonna done on the Decomp late this week.
The engine internals have been shipped to us from WPC Treatments.
The suspension internals are on their way from Pro Action.
The cylinder is on it's way back from Millennium Technologies.
And Motorrad should have the super secret stealth head cut done this week.
So if everything arrives with no mailing hitches from the post office, UPS, or Fedex we should be good to go.

I'm rebuilding the Rev 2 rear brake with a new piston and seals..
