KX500 water pump modification

Somthing I have been wanting to do.
is install a temp probe. instead of my Under the plug one that Digatron supplys.
Was thinking of welding a bung on the head, right at the output elbow...
just need to find a sensor etc that will talk to the digitron.

That would be cool... literally and figuratively.

I'm also wondering if we shouldn't clean up the casting imperfections on the impeller..

I know it's a small thing but I bet they all add up..
Besides the kx500 I'm sure a lot of other bikes could benefit from these mods.

hmm so they spin significantly faster than most 4 stroke impellers .5:1

Didn't know this till a few minutes ago but regarding the water pump cover, the area just past the impeller is smaller then the outlet side.

I know I'm throwing more pennies at a million dollar problem but sooner or later the pennies should equal a buck or so
