I know it's a small thing but I bet they all add up..
Besides the kx500 I'm sure a lot of other bikes could benefit from these mods.

what is the drive ratio of the waterpump on the KX?

Impeller speed vs crank speed?

Yup..

kinda like my KTM is driven off the cam.. direct.

10-4 on the impeller gear... I had that number last night :)
Haven't made it to the shop yet for the crank :cry:

hmm so they spin significantly faster than most 4 stroke impellers .5:1

Didn't know this till a few minutes ago but regarding the water pump cover, the area just past the impeller is smaller then the outlet side.

I know I'm throwing more pennies at a million dollar problem but sooner or later the pennies should equal a buck or so :D
