I can't begin to express how impressed and motivated I am by the efforts of both Mike and Jason. When I sent this motor to our shop in Oregon I knew that they were going to find some negative surprises inside. The fact that they have taken chicken $h1t and made chicken soup is a testament to the quality of work performed at KX Guru Racing. I will be delivering this bike to Sean along with a slideshow of the before and after photos. Kudo's to the entire KX Guru Racing team for all their efforts in getting this bike done

On to the shock.
This shock was specially built by Enzo for Sean.
The way that Sean rides however, he has more rubber on the bottom of the rear fender then he does on the rear tire
So, after discussing our options we sent the shock to Alex Ward at Crazy Al's Racing for a rebuild.

I won't go into full detail on what all was found, I'll let Alex do that
But here is a brief description.
The body, clevis, rod, and bladder, were stock KX500
The custom valving that Enzo used was a Stock KX450F valve.
That's right, the KX450F valve fits right into the KX500 body and on the stock shaft.
Does it really gain you anything?
That's to be determined.
Then Enzo added a bunch of shims.
Alex has the details on the shim count, thickness, and diameters.
However, Alex has a better way to go.

That's right, Pro Action makes a nice replacement valve and custom shim stack for the KX500.
After Sean rides the Beast with this new set up we will let you know what he thinks.
