Ok, back on clean up...
This is how much material is blocking off the exhaust port from the exhaust pipe.

What do you think, leave it or remove it?
I'm leaning toward removing it...

You most of the time you want a 2-3mm smaller port then header id size. Most of the headers for the K5 motor is too big the first three inches. for the rpm and spec that most K5 motors run you want are 45-46mm port for great velocity. you can pick up as much as 2-4hp in the middle of curve with that set up and a taper header.

I measured the ID of the exhaust port.
It was roughly 1.826" or 46.38mm as it varies some.
I have a Pro Circuit Works pipe that the ID measures 1.859" or 47.21mm.
My FMF Gold Series Gnarly measures 1.924" or 48.86mm but at a depth of .793" or 20.14mm it necks down to 1.889" or 47.98mm. Again, there is a significant ridge where the two sections meet as shown in the pic below.

If anybody has a pipe they would like to record the ID where it connects to the exhaust port I would appreciate it.

Here is an update:
Pro Circuit Platinum measures 1.882" or 47.8mm
Pro Circuit Works measures 1.859" or 47.21mm.
FMF Gold Series Gnarly measures 1.924" or 48.86mm but at a depth of .793" or 20.14mm it necks down to 1.889" or 47.98mm.
