Even with the increased flow and pressure of the new pump it did not even register a pressure at idle, when I revved it a bit it showed I think only 2-3psi.
You perhaps missed the YouTube link to a vid of the test. It's in a previous post.
Here it is again.

It's about 7psi at the head at idle. I can hardly believe how little oil goes to the tranny. I took out the gauge and tried it and oil certainly spurted out. So there is oil, and as touched on before you need an orifice or gap to control pressure so the banjo bolt must be the orifice and behind that the pressure is negligible.

Ok I just watched the vid again and I did not put the tranny pressure on it. Oh well it was not much.

The adaptor between the engine and the carb is next on the list. I want to point the carb more to the right and flatten the pitch of the carb to help the smooth the route of the air into the engine, it will be at the expense of the fuel/air mix which is not so good but if it's better overall it will be worth it.

There's the rough position I want to get the carb.

So I started by making a flange. The square bit at the top is for putting the thermocouple to measure intake temps and the MAP sensor for the CDI and a pressure reference for the fuel pressure regulator and a boost gauge, oh and because this area can be in vacume the blow off valve will go on here too (if I fit one).

So I turned a spigot of pipe and welded it on, pointing it to the right and down.

And this is how it looked with the carb on.

Well, I don't know if this is any good, I took the accelerator pump linkage off but still the top of the carb is fouling the frame rails. If I had cut down the intake port of the head itself this would have looked better, it's too long, it's not far enough to the side and it's still a bit to steep of an angle.

It's too long. Back to the drawing board I think.

Well.... it was a really good effort....
I guess your about to head off to work.
Just a quick question before I send your parts, are you going to try and reuse the bearings from the cases or are you going to replace them?

I will try to re use the bearings in the cases. Yes that's the time up, on my way out of the harbour now. a few days home next weekend, then away till late October.
The Dyno bits should be completed by then too and the interface box will have arrived. So then I need a laptop and a chassis to put it in.
I got this done on the carb adaptor but I'm not even sure I like the way it's going..... I'll have a go next weekend.

Well I really wasn't that pleased with that 2nd try at a carb adaptor, i started to wonder about sealing it properly under any kind of pressure or vac, for that matter. But I noticed the carb spigot looked like it was a separate part from the carb body so I tried to unscrew it and it does, so I can weld it to the flange and then screw it back to the carb.... No time to waste.

You will also see I slotted one of the mounting holes to ease the mounting/dismounting of the carb for jetting changes. Also I know there's a bit of a blob of weld on the inside there, that will get a clean up later.

So there it is, I have found a place that makes spigots to order so if this isn't the finished article I'm not stuck for a spigot.

That's more like it.

And it's pointing clear of the shock mount now.

I'm quite pleased with that.

That looks great!
I'd be happy with that fit.
So now that you have most of the key issues addressed, what is next?

Hi Mike,
Got a few more things to update, I'm at work again, my back to back at work has had a serious accident. So I'm going to be at work quite a bit. I'm not far off with any of it now though, so even if I only get a day or so home here and there I'll make some progress.
The dyno roller is still not finished but I saw it the other day and it's not that far off. No sign of the interface box though. I'm away 6weeks this time so there will be lots of things waiting when I get back.
I also have a cylinder head away with me and a big roll of emery, I'm going to clean it up and then send it to a specialist to get 1mm oversize exhaust valves fitted, they are some kind of high temp stainless ones.
So I will have updates on that too.
There is also a 102mm wossner piston on the way, but it's going to be a development hopefully. Test as I go along, testing the value of each mod.
