So, what's next :lol:

Actually, a few things..
First I need to prep the bike for the "One Moto Show" in Portland Or Feb 7-9th.
My pipe was a bit trashed after Glen Helen so I sent it out to Pacific Crest Pipe Repair in Medford Oregon and had him do some work.
It came back BEAUTIFUL!!
I wish I had sent it out BEFORE the shootout.
Oh well..

After the "One Moto Show" I'll be installing a new top end.
Why?
Why not? :lol:
The reality is we are still testing and tuning with the Induction Crank and while what we have is very powerful we think there is more to be had out of it.

So, stay tuned.. 8-)

This vid was shot by Adam Millar who's bike we ran against in the MXa shoot out,
It takes about 12 min to get going..
As you can hear and see we had it going much better in the afternoon with the new top end on it. 8-)

Arik Swan has made a few changes to the KtX500e to accommodate his large 6 foot 4 inch frame for the National 2T Championships at Glen Helen this weekend...
No, We didn't build it to sit on a shelf and look pretty 8-)

This is a quickie history of the KtX500e Kawakazi since the Motocross Action Magazine build off.
When I got back home I put the bike on display at MotoGear Speed Shop in Eugene, Oregon.
Then it went to the One Moto Show and was on display therr.
Next, it came home and sat for a while as I had a lot of other projects going on.
When Arik Swan dropped off his KX500's for rebuilds he saw the bike and wanted to race it.
I did not have the correct cylinder or head on it but I let him take it anyway.
Arik was coming off a 2 year healing from a bad wreck.
He did very well on the bike getting a couple of 3rds and a second.
He was getting fast and faster every time he rode it.
Here is a little secret.
The cylinder on it was almost completely stock and had been ran on my Supermoto for almost 10 years and really needed a plate job laughing
Unfortunately Arik ate it on his 4T and needed shoulder surgery.
I figured that it would be a while before he would be ready to race it, so I started building a new top end.
Jason Tanner (JT EngineWorks) and I tested and tuned to dial the new top end in.
It is making more power everywhere and the RPM range starts even lower.
This thing is a torque monster and yet has more top end.
Meanwhile Arik told me that he didn't like the feel of the hydraulic clutch and wanted to go back to cable.
In order to do it I had to build a completely new bottom end.
No biggie... if you can find the parts blink
Then I discovered that that the custom mounting bracket for the E-start would not fit stock cases.
Nothing could be done but to build another bracket.
