There are so many aspects to your build that I never considered.
You have made outstanding progress.
Have you considered doing anything with your suspension?

Yeh I've thought about the suspension, also about that upper suspension mount. It's totally in the wrong place or the carb is or something. The other week I bought a zxr400 shock off a breaker, I thought it might slot in but much shorter, well I would say it was a waste of time, it wasn't going to be a easy fit ment and the spring looks lighter, I thought it might be a heavier spring, the zxr had a rep of being hard sprung, anyhoo the carb thing might be solved by the latest idea of the alloy adaptor between the carb and the head. On eBay here in the UK you can buy a hagon shock new for about £300 considering all the other expensive stuff lavished on this bike, it seems reasonable. The forks? A pair of ktm WP oem items would do the trick perhaps? But I have not given it a lot of thought. Going has been more a prority rather than stopping or turning. LoL

Whatever way I end up joining the carb to the engine I am going to have to mount the MAP (manifold air pressure) sensor on it, the W/M pump pressure switch, the dump valve and the boost gauge. I have two boost gauges I thought it might be interesting to put one on the plenum too to see the pressure drop across the carb. Also another sampling device I have ready to go on, or devices, is two air temperature probes, one I am going to put on on the air tube from the turbo, the other on the adaptor between the carb and the engine, this will be to see how much temperature drop the water or W/M injection gives me, it is a potential tuning tool and a great little experiment in itself.

The third sensor is an exhaust temperature sensor, another tuning tool, will help prevent meltdowns.

I've been accused of making my dirt bike a space shuttle and yet I only have a few probes...

The only other thing I want to add is Exhaust gas temp.

Your instrument cluster ought to be amazing :D

That's a neat cluster. It is almost spaceship like.
I would like to just have a boost gauge extra, but to begin with I'll need as much info as possible. I still have ambitions to build a dyno. I could record and process all this info on a dyno, it would be difficult to monitor much on the road unless it was a overtemp light or something. I had another idea the other day about a dyno. I have two spare hydraulic pumps at home that have a capacity of around 170 -200kw each, one of them will probably never be used again as it has a little damage from a bearing failure, not enough to stop it working, I could get plenty of second hand hydraulic oil, so just need a load cell and a valve to wind down to load up the pump. It would be a nice project. But to get back to the question in hand, all those gauges would probably not be practical actually on the bike, I would need a Dakar type fairing to hold it all, not where I want to be going.

Data logging is one thing I believe in.
It can make or break you.

Also, I like the idea of the dyno.
A ltlle more complex then your original idea but I think worth the effort.

I'm still waiting for that guy I bought that inertia dyno bits to get them sent here. I'm going to England for a couple of days in may, if he hasn't sent them by then I'll go and pick them up.
