1985 KX500 Front number plate

what is the difference between the 85 front plate and a 86 or 87?..they look the same?

I am looking at the UFO plastic part # KA02707-026

Fits 85 KX125 KX250 KX500.

Clearly that was no help as they look the same to me...

That's all I have on either.
I'd like to give you a definitive answer but I don't have a lot of info on the earlier KX500's..

But just going by looks, they sure look the same to me...
