What compression should my 2000 KX250 have?

It ran like a raped ape and then all of the suden it ran bad at idle.
It runs good up top though.
The boot look pretty worn.
What you think?

Pull the boot off and really bend it around.
See if it has any cracks in the outside.
Then look inside.
It should be smooth and NO cracks...
Let me know what you find.

Compression is 153psi.
The boot has small little cracks all over outside but looks smooth inside.
Can it be fixed?

Well, I'd rather see you get a new one but sometimes it's not possible or perhaps it's not in the budget.
I'll see about doing a "How To" article a little later today.

That is cool man thank you.
A new boot is like 60 bucks online and about 75 at the Kawasaki shop.
If it works that will save me a wad of green backs.
Ill try it tomorrow and let you know.

It worked!
There was a crack that went all the way through that I couldn't see until I pushed on the RTV and it squished all the way through :o
So it works for now.
