Ok... I didn't like how my last carb mod turned out so I started over :o
I decided to do it a bit different.
This time I grabbed that one color of spray paint that I bought years ago and have never used... G.O.L.D. :?

I had to shorten then bolt about 1/4".
They just don't make a lot of bolt sizes in Titanium so your stuck with plan B

KX GURU Racing kx500 Engine in a 2016 KTM 250 SX PUMPKIN SEEDS BUILD

Post by Sandblaster »

After the welding was done I put a rattle can coat on to protect from rust.
I will have the frame powder coated once the final mock up has been finalized.

Next, I did a quick mock up to be sure everything was still perfect.

Oh yeah... I'm smiling... Every bolt lined up perfectly.
A big shout out goes to Vince and Travis Brewer who did the welding and to Jason tanner from JT Engine Works who helped me a lot on the fabrication of the modded frame.

Now for some of the details..
The issue with most conversions I have seen is the head stay.
It seems to me that a lot of guys don't understand how the energy is transferred through the frame.
I say this because a lot of guys build the head stay like a lever that is being pulled on instead of being under tension.
