This stator looks great... But it did not pass the ohms spec.
So I cleaned the base plate and put it into storage for now...
At this point we don't know which system we will use.
Potentially we will use a complete MZB system but we won't really know until Sean tests out 3 different bikes this weekend.
The idea is to build one as close to what Sean likes as possible...
More to come
We received the swingarm back from sandblasting (Thanks Travis) and it is a bit rough.
Certainly nothing that can't be dolled up a bit but we have more important things to do on it then work on the looks at this point..
But don't worry, we will get there on the looks as well

I really don't like chain wear...

Yep... It's a bit haggard but a little welding, sanding, filling, more sanding, primer, paint, decals, bearings, and seals, will have it looking great again

But first we need to get it modified and test fitted for the KX450F rear brakes
I machined the swingarm axle slots out to 25mm so I could install the entire rear brake and wheel setup from a KX450F.
Everything mounted up and looks great.
When we are done this should look like a factory job..

I will need to make some spacers as it seems the KX450F rear wheel/ axle spacers is a bit narrower then the KX500.
Sure, you could pinch the swingarm tight but you will then be putting undue stress on the swingarm and potentially casue bad vibrations throughout the bike.

Spent a little time at the machine and weld shops yesterday...
Had to make sure everything lined up good and still had plenty of axle travel as well as enough clearance the the wheel is easy to get in and out..

There is going to be quite a bit of extra work Jason is going to do on these cases..
Most of you are familiar with the case port mods.
But don't worry, we will go over those in greater detail later in this build.

But here is something that some of you do but most choose not too.
Jason is eliminating a bunch of the casting flash from the outside of the cases.
Jason reasons that it will help prevent dirt from sticking, will look better, and can help prevent stress cracks from forming..
