I've attached some pics for you to illustrate the general direction that I'm going with the '1/2 miler' theme.
Some of those pics are dated,as I began this project 2 years ago.
After it was well under way, I became interested in doing three other bikes, so I shelved the KX.
A few weeks back,I decided to finish the KX project,and once again began work.
Actually the 2 years 'vacation' was beneficial in that I was able to evaluate what I'd done and consider new concepts .
The asymmetry of the KX chassis has proven to be a real challenge in regards to finding reference points to allow for the attachment of the rear sub frame, as well as simply mounting components like the new radiators in a secure, uniform manner.
The CR125 rads obviously have less frontal area than the oem units,however,their cubic capacity is greater.
As the issue of cooling the big KX mill is an unknown for me, I decided to add the third rad.
I haven't yet decided the optimum coolant route, still searching for info on that topic.
