If you can find the replacement parts then no, you don't need a whole new stator.
Another option is to call Ricky Stator and have them rebuild yours.
They will even give you a one year warranty on it.
If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.

Hi I've just Took off my starter and seen that the red/black and red had tap on them so i rewired them and put new electrical tape around them and now getting Reading around 300 ohms were do I go from here Thanks

If you still have no spark and you know that you have a good ground, the connectors are all good, the stator has good ohm specs, the coil has good ohm specs, the kill switch is good, there is only one other thing it can be... :o

Cdi ?? If so I have bought a Second hand Cdi box for a kx 250 1991 and still no spark so then i bought a kx 250 1993 cdi box because it had a White wire and was matching my starter wires and still no spark so that's 3 cdi ov got :( or maybe it could be me as I'm no specialist when it comes to electrics starters and coils :(

Hi can you tell me if this is right my multimeter only flashes like for instance it says 300ohms then goes straight down to 000ohms never stays Constant is this right thanks

No, it has to be solid.
Sometimes you need to clean the contact points really well..
