First I chamfer or countersink the stud hole approx .5-.75mm
Then make sure the threaded holes are clean and free of any dirt or contaminates.
Double check the threads in the cylinder to make sure they are in good shape.
I use red thread locker on the stud where the threads go into the cylinder.
Torque the studs to 6-7 lb.
Next I coat the exposed stud (non threaded area) with dielectric grease.
I hand tighten all the nuts.
Then go 6lb torque star pattern, then, 13lb, then 18lb.
After I hit 18 on all the nuts, I go back and hit them again just to be safe.
After about a hour of riding I go back and hit the nuts again at 18 lb.
From there you should be good to go.
