Remember, the engine is trying to rotate with the Swingarm pivot pin being the centerline of the axis.
Something as demonstrated below.
Keeping the Head stay brackets in line with the greatest force is really important.

Next, I'm checking carb clearance.
This is a 38mm Airstriker short bodied version.
I'm also testing a Standard body Airstriker as well as a Lektron.
As you can see, there is plenty of room
I will also be running a reed spacer so that will improve the already ample clearance.

Oh yeah... Look what showed up from the Anodizer today
Blasted all that nasty orange pumpkin rine right off the parts and then sent them to Scot Schneider.
He took them to his good buddy Kenny at Precision Anodizing in Oklahoma City.
Here is a link to his Facebook page

I had him try and match the color of a cooler I already had.
As you can see the parts turned out great!
Thanks Scot and Kenny.
I really appreciate it!

Here is some other goodies I'm playing with for this build...
KX Guru Racing is testing this mod for Steve Parris at Parris Racing Concepts
His Facebook page is here:
https://www.facebook.com/steve.parris.399
Others have tried this mod before with varying degrees of success.
Dirt Bike magazine ran some tests on Steve's crank and they reported a nice increase in power on a smaller engine.
We are testing and tuning for a KX500 so it may or may not work.
I'm betting that it will, especially in view of the case mods that MUST be made to make this modification work.

Wow... Using a Power Dynamo Ignition on this conversion will only require a new mounting bracket and a bit of trimming..
Easy money...

Als Plating in Ft. Worth Tx, did it in 1 day $85
It certainly an option...
