How to get nutty with a KX450F rear brake caliper

Post by Sandblaster » Tue Jun 06, 2017 4:20 pm

As some of you know I built the rear brake caliper for Sean Collier's new bike.
I learned several things the first time around so while some of this is a rehash, some of it is new.
First things first you will need a KX450F rear brake caliper... Any year will do up to at least 2012 :o
Next, strip it bare..

{TIP} Use a air nozzle to blow the seals out... Most of the time you can re-use them.
Or just buy new ones as they are cheap..
If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.

Ready for weld...
I've left a message with my welder..
We will see how long it will take for him to get back to me...

I received it back from the welder and started the clean up..
It's real rough right now but give it some time :-)
