Yesterday I took the Supermoto out for about a hour ride.
It was 95F out, don't know the humidity.
It was about 30% in town and about 70% twisty hwy with a posted speed limit of 55 mph
Since my last post I changed a few things on my bike.
I did a complete bottom end rebuild with a IMS pro rod that was rebuilt, welded, trued, and balanced.
The transfers, ports, and bridges were cleaned up.
The head has a squish change.
The port timing is stock.
The piston is a Wossner windowed piston.
I also have the Motorrad coolant passage clean ups and water pump impeller clearance mod.
I am also running Chinese Radiators.
So basically I'm running the factory engine that Kawasaki should have built excluding the exhaust port work that I couldn't do without re-plating the cylinder
It is definitely faster then stock and way smoother...
Also running 50/50 antifreeze
My running temps were as follows
Water after cooling 143-147F
Head temps 190-199F
So I'm definitely headed in the right direction.
I'll be trying some Royal Purple with distilled water later this week.
I'll note any changes I find

Can you believe it that with 3 Royal Purple dealers (Napa) in our area there is no Purple Ice on the shelf?
They are suppose to get some this afternoon.
It will be hot again today so it will be a perfect test.

When using Purple Ice with an antifreeze/water mix, Royal Purple recommends adding 1 ounce of Purple Ice per quart of cooling system capacity. For straight water (racing) applications, Royal Purple recommends adding 2 ounces of Purple Ice per quart of cooling system capacity.

Purple Ice before mixing...
I am going to use the race mix at 2 oz per 1 quart of water.
If I didn't maintain my bike so well... Cough Cough... I would add 20% green stuff.
Since the race mix is good for 15,000 miles I'm sure it will work just fine for me
After mixing:
Not much of a color change but what would yo expect at 1:64 ratio

Results...
85F
Humidity 32%
Rode for about 15 minutes around town.
Head was 163F
Post cooled water was 141F
Jumped on a back road (Right next to a hospital) at rode at a little past 90 mph for about a mile.
Made a U turn and did it again.
Head was 176F
Post cooled water was 149F
So far.... I like this stuff...

Now for a quick recap.
I did the water pump impeller clearance mod.
I cleaned up all the water passages.
Cleaned up oil passages in the cases.
I have a re-cut head.
Chinese Rads.
Stock port timing.
Cleaned up cylinder transfers, ports, and bridges.
Balanced crank.
Wossner windowed piston.
VF2 Reed with modded boot.
41mm carb jetted a bit rich at the moment.
Running 1 quart of distilled water per 2 oz of Royal Purple's Purple Ice (Bought it at Napa).
MZB ignition with a flywheel that is 1lb lighter then stock.
My bike has never ran so cool and with so much smooth power.
Time to start another build with some advanced port timing

If you're filling up your turbocharged Mustang with 87, you deserve less power as it should be clear that such a motor wants to drink the good stuff. Yes, the car is capable of running on 87 with no issues, but just be ready to be a bit slower. This is why you see disclaimers in car ads, because automakers get their best horsepower ratings when they run higher-test fuel.
