change my sub frame honda cr 250 97

Post by coquinati » Thu Feb 21, 2013 10:10 pm

hi, this is my change of subframe cr 250 97, I did so because I felt very weak connections on the frame honda, and I felt that it broke often,
I billet pieces, and welded

Wow!
That is a NICE job!
I have seen some of those come in broken.
It's nice to see someone who actually took the time to fix that problem.
Thanks for posting it.

hi guy, i'm a friend of coquinati, i ride with he in some track in Italy with his honda bikes (more with the cr 125 than the cr 250 ) i have milled the pieces of the subframe with a hand mill from a solid piece of alluminium, if someone wants the drawing of the pieces, i have the dwg file of this, drawed with AutoCAD 2d and a model in 3d

Hello Crimas.
Welcome to our site.
Thanks so much for posting this information.
I'm sure that people will find your fix informative and beneficial.
I did some research and could not find any other repair information for the 1997 CR250 Sub frame.
Feel free to post pics of your bike and favorite riding area's.
We really like articles that describe how to fix parts, repair parts, bike builds, rebuilds, or custom modifications.
Have fun!
If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.
