Clutch pull. extended clutch arms, magura hydraulic.. next??

Post by Sandblaster » Fri May 13, 2016 3:18 pm

Many KX500 riders do not like their clutch pull.
I never gave it much thought until I heard so many complain about it... but whatever :-D
Anyway, we have made the extended clutch arms...

Mohave has the biggest I have ever seen :-o

Others have gone to the Magura hydraulic clutch setup..

Some have gone to some crazy lengths to get other hydraulic setups, machining and retrofitting.
But, has anyone tried the extended clutch arm with the Magura?

sandblaster my last 500 had a magura hydraulic clutch kit on it and a extended (5mm?) clutch arm... it was killer and very easy to pull.. but i think since the arm was longer i had to have magura send me a longer cylinder rod so it would release the clutch all the way... it had the longer clutch lever and was very close to the Pull (feeling) of my 2014 ktm250xc...

Since this thread was started I actually rode three KX500's with the extended clutch arm.
All three clutches were like butter to pull in comparison to a stock KX500.
I will be installing them on both my K5's.
Funny how I had one sitting in my desk drawer for the last 4 years and never got around to installing one

I have had the Magura hydraulic on my kx500. It didn't make as big of a difference as the extended clutch arm.
