Project Clapped out 1998 KX250... What works? Turbo Crank?
Re: Project Clapped out 1998 KX250... what works?
Awesome, can't wait to see what you come up with. Do you have any numbers to compare with a KX300? I really think that's the direction I want to go with this one.

I don't but stay tuned for a 327 build
If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.

Lol...
The goal is to do more and more of these test and tunes.
The biggest problem is time and money

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I don't have any pics but the bottom end is done.
The top end is being soaked in Mineral spirits to remove debris that may fall into the bottom end and contaminate our shiny rebuilt bottom end
We are not scrubbing it or removing any carbon... just the loose debris..
The bike is sitting in the shop naked and ready for something good...
Will someone clean this place up?????

Yup, for sure. I retired at 48 and thought I’d be able to complete some projects. Nope. All kinds of time, only one kind of money. None.60something wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 6:17 pm...a truer word never spoken. Having both at the same time is the trick. The biggest problem is time and money/
