KX Guru Racing KtX500e Kawakaze electric start KX500 & KTM Chassis
I'm waiting for the owner of this chassis to set up a time to meet.
It is a 2016 KTM 250 SX chassis.
They used the motor for a Kart.
My intention is beat the pumpkin seeds out of it and drop in a woods built KX500 engine

It's gonna require a fair amount of cradle modifications to work.

So what's it gonna take?
First off you need your swing arm pivot pin hole in your KX500 cases drilled to 17mm.
Check! I still have my mock up cases for a AF project..
Then the engine mounts on the KTM frame have to be removed just so I can tilt the engine forward enough to see what all I need to do to the cradle..
More to come..

Here is a 2007 KTM 450F frame.
That would be a very easy conversion... But I'm not into easy... I guess
Since I have this frame I think I will cut it up and use the cradle

Ok... I did the rough work and Jason came in and did some more clean up.
We are being very careful to remove as little material as possible.
These tubes are thin and we don't want to weaken them and more then required..
