Plexus plastic cleaner protectant & polish review.
The product description pretty much says it all.
Our approach to testing is simple.
Read the directions, follow the directions, see how it looks
At 18.95 for a 7oz can, how well does it work?
I pulled a old plastic fender out of the garbage and took a pic of it.
As you can see, it is faded, scratched, scuffed, oxidized, and looks generally well worn.
This pic is after I washed the fender with a mild soap (Dawn soap) and rinsed with water.
This is how it now looks:
This is a pic of the can:
I sprayed the product liberally on the fender and let it sit for a minute:
Then I took a clean rag (DO NOT USE A PAPER TOWEL) and buffed it up:
This is a before and after comparison:
The fender looks better then it did but how does it last? How will it work on other colors?
Stay tuned for more info

After the fender sat around for about a month we gave it a healthy dose of mud.

When the mud completely dried I washed it of with water and dried it with a towel
Our thoughts?
Plexus is not a cure all.
It is a quality product that can make plastic parts look much better.
However, there is no substitute for keeping your plastic clean and protected before it get's as bad as this fender.
Over all I am pleased with the results.

Here is another project that we used Plexus on.
1984 XR350R Honda.
When the tank came in it was oxidized and faded.
That should be expected from a 25+ Year old dirt bike.
Here is how it looked:
We took some fine steel wool and did a short amount of rubbing to remove some but not all of the oxidization:
Next, we applied some Plexus and let it sit for a few minutes before we wiped it off:
Our thoughts?
Considering the age of the tank, the small amount of cleaning, and the end results, we are happy with it.

Re: Plexus plastic cleaner protectant & polish Review
In Conclusion... I feel that this is a solid product.
If your plastic is hashed, this is not a cure all.
Yes, it will make old plastic look better and it will make any plastic more resistant to damage.
It is easy to apply and does a good job.
My only complaint is the price.
If it was a little cheaper I'd give it a 5 star rating.
Due to the price I'm giving it a 4.5/5 star rating.
