Central Pneumatic Soda Blaster 67625
I need to see what all the hoopla is regarding sold blasting.
So I picked up this cheapie unit at Harbor freight with a extra set of tips and medium soda for about 175.00.
As soon as the humidity goes down a bit I will put in 40 lbs of soda and give it a whirl.

After using it for the first time I can see why people like to use soda.

It isn't as destructive as sand blasting can be and does not leave behind the embedded particulates that can dislodge later and ruin your engine :x
It also clean up really easy.
A word of caution.
Do it outside and wear a respirator.
Or better yet, put this setup in a cabinet with ventilation.
That is what I'm going to do with mine.
Also, with this bottle you need a air compressor that can do a minimum of 8.5 SCFM at 90lb.
My compressor isn't up to the task so I'll be upgrading when I have the dough ;)

I finally took an old sand blasting cabinet and mounted the soda bottle on it.
Works great!
It's amazing how many things you find to Soda Blast once you have one set up that you can just walk over and use :-)

Yeah, it has it's drawbacks... loading the soda into the bottle and I don't have it hooked up to vacuum yet but for the money, it's cool!

Some of the damage could not even be seen until we blasted it.
For cleaning carbs, this thing works awesome...
