Re: New boy
Thanks for the nice comment bud.
Only been out four times so far but the suspension and frame make it so much more useable, instead of tying to leap out of burns on power she just digs in and whips round,so far very happy......but.....she's off road for a couple of weeks, full motor rebuild, and one of our top suspension lads are rebuilding my 2012 250f bouncy springy things, cannot wait is quite an understatement.

Re: New boy
Out of curiosity, what made you use the 86 or 87 cylinder?

Re: New boy
Sticky point at the moment, the lad that sold her said it was a pro circuit barrel and a 86 motor, the lad that's rebuilding the motor says it's not pro circuit, what's your view?

Re: New boy
I couldn't tell you anything about who may or may not have worked on the cylinder however, the 86-88 cylinders can make all the power you want.
86 was the fastest KX500 cylinder and head combo ever made in stock configuration.
7X drag champion Jeff Grawbarger is running a 86 cylinder in his bike and Jeff know's how to go fast.
The only downside is they don't have a center valve which narrows the usable RPM range.
So for slow technical riding they aren't the best.
But if you want to go fast, they will

Noo,I meant is it a pro circuit barrel hahaha, that aside my first 500 was an 87,you and three other kx gods have also confirmed that these were the best year top ends so(after a full strip down and rebuild)I'm back to the green monster I started on....ish....thanks again for you show of help and open support.
