That's all interesting.
I can't wait to see how this thing holds together...
Thanks for posting...

Well I came back to this thread to update after I took the bike out last weekend in Golden, BC and I see that Rekluse made a RadiusX kit for the KX500. I suppose that's even more confirmation that it should hold up on the 500. I am curious why they didn't make a TorqDrive manual clutch pack as well, they would be using the exact same plates...

The snow wasn't the best, not a lot of powder, I was also with two guys on sleds so with them there was a lot of 3rd and 4th gear WOT hill climbs. The clutch didn't slip all day long, I also didn't have to adjust the clutch cable, so it doesn't seem to be wearing out.

So nice to have an auto clutch on a snowbike, with the manual clutch you have to do a lot of clutch work when starting out from a stop. So far seems to be a real nice mod.

First, thanks for updating us...
I'm sure they are going for the real money... There are a lot of different clutch plates on the market already so it's not a big incentive.
Still you would think that why not.... Who knows, if its a really good product, they may sell a few 8-)

Another thought just crossed my mind...
What carb are you running?
What is your jetting?
And, what is your average altitude?
Snow bikes are becoming more and more popular and I get a lot of jetting questions.
Thanks!

I'm using a 40mm Lectron. My original plan when I was setting this bike up was to use a thunderproducts powerjet in the stock carb, then I realized that I didn't have a carb for another KX500 project I was working on, so I bought a Lectron and used the carb on the other project.
I'm not 100% on the Lectron right now, seems like these 500's (CR or KX) need some work to get the cooling system so the engine doesn't see big temperature spikes in the snow. Even more important to get the cooling system steady when you're running a carb heater

What sort of temps are you seeing?
I have two temp gauges on my bike and in the desert it will really spike depending on what I am doing...

The Lectrons are good but it can take a bit to get them dialed in.
Do you know Jeff Grawbarger?
If so hit him up.
He is a Lectron fanatic
