I had my bike upside down for some top end maintenance Lol... Long story ..

While it was upside down I was looking at all the linkage bearings and thinking about how long it's been since I greased them (6 years) :o :shock: :o
I've never serviced them while the bike was upside down before but there they are...

Sooo...

Clean it off before you start removing the pieces.
Go slow... and clean everything as you go...
I pushed out half of the insert and greased the opposite side..

So far, so good... Bearings are all in great shape...
But the bearing that always fails first is the shock bearing..

Looks like I caught this one just in time.
So... Don't delay on bearing maintenance..
Flipping the bike upside down made this job a cinch and took all of about 10 minutes.
Most of the time was spent cleaning before and after insert and seal removal...
If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.
