KX500 Wossner vs IMS Pro rod Comparison
KX500 Wossner vs IMS Pro connecting rod Comparison
So here is the two culprits..
Initially I threw them on my scale which isn't the most accurate but it found that the Wossner was .7lb and the IMS was .6lb.
I'd like to get that on a better scale to really get down to the nitty gritty.
So, why does the Wossner weigh more?
First off the IMS Pro is polished so all the edges are more rounded whereas the Wossner has sharper edges.

More measurements
Here is where I think the main weight difference is.
Look at the thickness.
Combine that with the rounded corners of the IMS and it's becoming clear that the Wossner is a little heavier.
