Grassy Knoll's 140 mph KX500

Post by Sandblaster » Wed Oct 21, 2020 6:19 pm

From Grassy Knoll on Facebook
"Your 500 is Slow.
With all info plugged in ahead of time and calibration verified commanders prediction was spot on."

So, is 140mph possible.
Absolutely!
He is at 138 now but it is completely possible.
I think a timing change might do it but certainly with a pipe change.
This isn't a blown out drag bike, this is Grassy's daily street rider. 8-)

If bikes are for kids I'll never grow up.

Here is some pics.
Keep in mind that While I built the top end, Alex Ward built the bottom end and then took the chassis completely apart and went through it all.
Powder coating, wiring, bearings, seals, Alex did it all...

I asked for the gearing and tire size.
I ran the numbers through Gearing Commander and bam!!!, it's right there..
If anything it is a little slow.

We will have more info on this incredible KX500 build so stay tuned.
